History
Construction of Mehrad Hospital began in 1973 on a 5000-square-meter land located on Mir Emad Street in Tehran (Iran). This street is located in one of the streets branching from Shahid Motahari Street. The construction and equipment of the hospital was completed in 1982 and the hospital was officially put into operation on 1983/1/08.
At present, as a private hospital, Mehrad Hospital with a 200-bed license is located in District 7 of Tehran city. It has always been one of the best private hospitals and in recent years has won the first-class points in the national accreditation of hospitals from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education
The physical structure of the hospital consists of buildings No. 1 and 2 (each with four floors) and the building of specialized and sub-specialized clinics.
Inpatient wards include surgery 1, surgery 2, surgery 3, internal medicine, pediatric, neonatal, gynecological, NICU, ICU-OH ward (ICU Open Heart Surgery), ICU-M (Medical ICU), ICU-Post- Surgery (ICU Surgery), and CCU.
Outpatient departments include angiography, day care, specialized and sub-specialized clinics, emergency room, operating room, delivery block, dialysis, and scopy wards.
Number of physicians working in the hospital is about 120, with their different specialties and capabilities providing services to all clients. The number of employees in this hospital is about 700, providing services in different wards and units. .
This center’s medical-care coverage is very wide, so that the hospital provides 24-hours medical services to clients with the presence of specialists in different fields of internal medicine and surgery.

Internal, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematology, rheumatology, neurology, nephrology, urology, heart, oncology, infectious, lung, pediatric, neonatal, orthopedic, general surgery, spine, ENT, maxillofacial, thoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, open heart surgery, obstetrics, psychiatry, anesthesia, and Para-clinical services.
Para-clinical services of the hospital:
Laboratory and pathology, radiology, various types of ultrasounds, CT scan, MRI, angiography, interventional imaging services, pharmacy, physiotherapy, holter monitoring, electrocardiography, echocardiography, exercise testing (ET), spirometry and various scopy services.
The emergency department of the hospital is 24/7, providing care and treatment services by taking the advantage of experienced and highly specialized physicians and experienced staff.
Besides, 24-hour pediatric emergency services are provided by specialist and sub-specialty physicians in the emergency department.
